Malls time likely to be extended until 10 pm

KUWAIT CITY, June 2: The government is taking into consideration the possibility of extending the working hours of commercial establishments, which are currently obligated to close at 8:00 pm, as the epidemiological condition in the country continues to improve, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources. Sources told the daily that the extension period is still under consideration and evaluation indicating the timing could extend to two more hours, so the commercial complexes might be allowed to open until 10:00 pm instead of 8:00 pm.

Regarding the possibility of extending the opening hours of restaurants and cafés, sources emphasized that this is subject to the evaluation of the epidemiological situation. Sources affirmed the current epidemiological graph is stable; hence, the opening period for these establishments also might be extended along with the acceleration of the vaccination pace.
