Amir commends ministry of health’s frontline workers

KUWAIT: HH the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah yesterday commended government authorities’ efforts, namely the ministry of health, whose healthcare workers are on the frontline in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. HH the Amir made the remarks during a reception of Health Minister Sheikh Dr Basel Hmoud Al-Sabah, who briefed the Amir about health conditions in the country and preventive measures implemented by the health ministry to confront the pandemic.

Sheikh Basel also spoke about “dangerous developments” of the pandemic, which requires further efforts to curb its spread with the objective of preserving the health system in Kuwait. He also briefed HH the Amir about the presentation he made at the National Assembly and the “smooth” vaccination campaign.

HH the Amir reiterated confidence in HH the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah for the efforts carried out by the government to confront the pandemic. He praised government authorities, foremost the health ministry, for being on the frontline in the fight against COVID-19, which reflected the “high national spirit” of the people of this dear country. HH the Amir also appreciated the prime minister’s cooperation with parliament members to address all issues concerning citizens.
