New travel procedures outlined to some countries from Kuwait

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has announced that some countries are mandating a PCR test as a condition for permitting travelers to enter from Kuwait, with Southeast Asian countries officially requesting the necessity of subjecting travelers whether citizens or expats to diagnostic tests that reveal whether the person is infected with the virus at the present time and is able to transmit the infection to others. The other test is an immunological examination to check whether the person was infected with the virus in the past and has recovered from it, Al Anba daily reported, quoting responsible sources.

The sources stated that these countries, including China, requested that the test results of the examination be negative within 48 hours before travel, and those recovering from the Coronavirus will be allowed to travel as long as they have a positive result in the IgG analysis. In addition, they have to present a vaccination certificate to show they have been vaccinated against the virus. The responsible authorities have identified about five special centers to conduct a PCR test, including only one center for immunoassay analysis.
