Kuwait Airways postpones operations of Asian destinations in T4 – ‘Reasons beyond our control’

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2, (KUNA): Kuwait Airways announced Friday it was postponing operation of round-trip flights to Iran, Pakistan, Thailand and Philippines, which was originally scheduled from Terminal (4) for Sunday, due to “reasons beyond our control.” It said in a statement outbound and inbound flights to Mashhad and Tehran, Islamabad and Lahore, Bangkok and Manila via T4 were postponed.

Kuwait Airways did not mention when they would resume these flights at T4. The national carrier is operating flights to Gulf, Arab and European countries through its T4.

Meanwhile, the airport services nearly 100 airlines that have a network of more than 200 destinations worldwide, Andrea Tucci said in statements to KUNA.

On his part, director of Milan- Malpensa Airport said the successful launch of KAC’s new destination would contribute to the global presence of the airport. Welcoming KAC operating its new route, he said, “It is a very positive and smart initiative for KAC to have a share of the huge flow of passengers between Milan and the Middle East.

“The number of Middle East passengers using this airport grew by 7 percent last year to 1.5 million,” he added. Tucci voiced hope that the KAC’s flights will help enhance the economic, commercial and cultural exchanges between northern Italy and Kuwait.
