Kuwait distributed 60 tons of foodstuff on the poor and those of special needs in Iraq's Kurdistan.
The items were delivered to Iraqi families living in poor conditions in Irbil, Suleimaniyah and Dahuk governorates through the office of Barzani Charitable Society.
Ismael Abdulaziz; in charge of humanitarian aid at the Society, told KUNA that the food baskets were from the Kuwaiti Aid Society and Awqaf General Secretariat, and were given out in coordination with the Kuwaiti General Consulate in Irbil.
The aid is part of the 'Kuwait besides you' campaign, provided by Kuwait's Al-Najat Charity upon an initiative by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
